Promptly is free to use. These terms explain, in plain language, what you can expect from us and what we ask of you.

Using Promptly

Promptly is a free learning platform for prompt engineering, run as an independent project by boatweb.dev. You can use the lessons, techniques, prompt library and Playground for personal, educational and work purposes at no cost. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

Accounts

  • An account is optional and only needed to save progress, bookmarks, favorites and Playground history.
  • Please give accurate details and keep your password private. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
  • We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or break these terms.

Fair use

Please don’t:

  • attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the service;
  • scrape the site at a scale that affects other learners, or resell access to it;
  • use the Playground to generate illegal, harmful or abusive content, or to get around usage limits.

AI features have daily usage limits so the service can stay free for everyone.

AI output

AI responses are generated by a third-party model and can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Review anything important before you rely on it, especially for medical, legal, financial or safety matters. Examples on Promptly that aren’t live AI responses are clearly labeled as illustrative.

Your content and ours

Prompts you write belong to you. You’re welcome to copy and adapt the prompt templates and examples from the library for your own use. The lessons, design and other site content remain the property of Promptly and may not be republished as a whole without permission.

No warranty

Promptly is provided free, as is, and without guarantees. We work to keep the content accurate and the site available, but we can’t promise it will always be error-free or online. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses arising from your use of the site.

Changes

We may update these terms as Promptly grows. When we do, we’ll update this page and the date above. Your privacy is covered separately in our Privacy policy.
