I need names for: {{product}}
Target customers: {{audience}}
Brand personality: {{personality}}
Avoid: {{avoid}}

Give me 15 name ideas grouped into these styles: descriptive, invented/coined, metaphorical, and playful. For each name add a one-line note on why it fits.

Then pick your top 3 and for each:
- Explain what it communicates
- Note any risks (hard to spell, sounds like an existing brand, awkward meaning in other languages)

Remind me to check trademark and domain availability myself — don't claim a name is available.

I need names for: a mobile app that helps renters split bills and chores with housemates
Target customers: students and young professionals sharing apartments
Brand personality: friendly, fair, a little cheeky
Avoid: anything with 'pay' or 'split' in it, and names ending in -ly

Example output

Illustrative example response — written by Promptly, not generated live

Descriptive

  • Roomshare Hub — plain and clear about the shared-home use case
  • HouseTab — "running a tab" for your household

Invented/coined

  • Flatora — "flat" + a soft, app-friendly ending
  • Kohabi — playful twist on cohabit
  • Evenso — "even" + "so": fair, settled

Metaphorical

  • Keel — keeps the household balanced
  • Common Table — shared space, shared responsibilities
  • Fairway — a fair path, with a light sports pun

Playful

  • Dibs — calling who does what
  • Whose Turn — the eternal housemate question
  • Roomie Ledger — friendly tone, clear purpose
  • Chorus — chores + harmony
  • (and 3 more…)

Top 3

  1. Dibs — short, cheeky, memorable. Risk: a common word; trademark searches may be crowded.
  2. Evenso — signals fairness without saying "split." Risk: people may spell it "Even So."
  3. Chorus — warm and clever. Risk: strongly associated with music; may need a tagline.

Check trademark registries and domain/app-store availability before committing — I can't verify availability.

Why it works

Grouping by naming style forces variety instead of 15 near-identical ideas. The "avoid" list and personality adjectives give the model creative constraints, which usually produce better ideas than total freedom. Asking for risks on the shortlist adds a practical check, and the availability reminder stops the model from implying something it can't know.
